Description

Configures system devices.

Syntax

Serial port:

MODE COMm[:] [BAUD=b] [PARITY=p] [DATA=d] [STOP=s] [to=on|off] [xon=on|off] [odsr=on|off] [octs=on|off] [dtr=on|off|hs] [rts=on|off|hs|tg] [idsr=on|off]

Device Status:

MODE [device] [/STATUS]

Redirect printing:

MODE LPTn[:]=COMm[:]

Select code page:

MODE CON[:] CP SELECT=yyy

Code page status:

MODE CON[:] CP [/STATUS]

Display mode:

MODE CON[:] [COLS=c] [LINES=n]

Typematic rate:

MODE CON[:] [RATE=r DELAY=d]

Parameters

COMm[:] Specifies the port no of Serial port to be configured.
BAUD=b Specifies the transmission on rate in bits per second of Serial port to be configured.
PARITY=p Specifies the mothod of parity bit checking for transmission errors of Serial port to be configured.
DATA=d Specifies the number of data bits in a character for transmission of Serial port to be configured.
STOP=s Specifies the number of stop bits that define the end of a character. of Serial port to be configured.
to=on|off Specifies the time-out processing of Serial port to be configured is on or off..
xon=on|off Specifies the xon or xoff protocol for data-flow control of Serial port to be configured is on or off.
odsr=on|off Specifies the output handshaking control using the Data Set Ready (DSR) circuit of Serial port to be configured  is on or off.
octs=on|off Specifies the output handshaking control using the Clear To Send (CTS) circuit of Serial port to be configured  is on or off.
dtr=on|off|hs Specifies the Data Terminal Ready (DTR) circuit of Serial port to be configured is on, off, or set to handshake.
rts=on|off|hs|tg Specifies the Request To Send (RTS) circuit of Serial port to be configured is on, off, or set to handshake, or toggle.
idsr=on|off Specifies the DSR circuit sensitivity of Serial port to be configured is on or off.
device Specifies the name of the device to display the status.
/STATUS Specifies to display the status of a device. When no device is specified, the status of any available devices will be displayed.
LPTn[:] Specifies the parallel port to be configured.
COMm[:] Specifies the name of the serial port to be assigned.
CON[:] Specifies the name of device, CON to be assigned.
CP SELECT Specifies the code page to be used with the specified device.
yyy Specifies the number of the code page used with the specified device.
CP Specifies to display the number of the code page of the specified device.
COLS=c Specifies the number of characters columns wide in the command prompt screen buffer.
LINES=n Specifies the number of lines deep in the command prompt screen buffer.
rate=r Specifies the repeating rate of a character output on the screen when holding down a key of the keyboard.
delay=d Specifies the required time delay before the character output starts to repeat after holding down a key of the keyboard.
